Alaina Russell, CMHC Master’s Intern, QMHP (OR)

Hi there, I am Alaina Russell. I am currently studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at George Fox University. I am an Oregonian and enjoy all that our state has to offer. Getting outside is one of the ways I keep up with my own mental health.

I am passionate about working alongside people, helping them navigate through life’s challenges. I believe that we are all unique individuals who require an equally unique approach to our mental health. I want to form a collaborative relationship with my clients, as I believe that the therapeutic relationship is extremely healing. Holistic care is a pillar in my belief system, and I will always be sure to consider the whole person in therapy. I am open to working with all clients from all backgrounds, including individuals, children, and couples. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, and trauma.

I have my bachelor's degree in human physiology, leading me to a passion in mind and body wellness. I am currently in the process of getting my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and will be working as an intern. I have personal experience with therapy, which led me to pursue a career in counseling.
