Corey Griggs, MCFC Master’s Intern, RT Level I Certified

A quote that has stuck with me through my master’s program is: “It is never too late to be what you might have been” – George Elliot. I believe that family plays a vital role in a person’s life. I also believe that there is always a chance to grow stronger more meaningful relationships with one another. Restoration Therapy is a theory that aligns with my values, and I hope to further my education and clinical training related to this theory I was raised in a military family, who moved often, all over the world. This time in my life cemented the need for strong relationships within the family system. Later in life, I enlisted in the Marine Corps and returned as a combat veteran. I understand how difficult it can be to reintegrate and how hard it can be to ask for help.

I am excited to use my knowledge, military background, and empathy to connect, work and pilot services toward proving care with individuals, couples, and groups. I hope to promote healthy relationships and help others with their struggles involving PTSD, depression, anxiety, trauma while building a positive sense of self. I am passionate and empathetic, positive yet realistic.
