I truly enjoy working with people who want to grow and become happier and healthier versions of themselves. I know life can be hard and sometimes we develop unhealthy patterns of behavior like taking our anger out on others or turning to drugs and alcohol to escape. Together, we can discover what led to those unhealthy patterns and identify healthier ways of being so you can live a happier and more fulfilling life.

I have spent the last two years studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at George Fox’s Graduate School of Counseling and have learned a variety of tools and techniques that can be extremely helpful for your journey. I have spoken with Dr. Terry Hargrave, the founder of Restoration Therapy, and heard him explain how Restoration Therapy can be a foundational tool to help you understand why you behave the way you do. If those patterns of behavior have not been working for you in your life and within your relationships, I have learned techniques we can use to discover healthier ways of living. I also have a deep understanding of how drugs and alcohol can cause problems for many of us. I have learned methods for understanding why we turn to those things as a way to escape the difficult parts of life. But I have also learned how we can tap into certain sources of motivation to help us kick those escape based behaviors when those urges arise.
