Xan Scott, Professional Counseling Associate, QMHP (OR)

Xan is an avid lover of the arts and outdoors and is passionate about working with individuals ready to make a change. Xan applauds you for bravely taking this step to find a therapist and challenging core beliefs and stories that might not be serving them well. Please reach out for a free 20 minute consult.

Xan has multiple degrees in Theatre Arts, Yoga, and has decades of experience working in homes caring for the entire lifespan from infants to the elderly. Working with various populations with incarcerated women, domestic violence, and vulnerable youth Xan has life experience that you cannot go to school for. Through studying the arts Xan feels privileged to have had the opportunity for a lifetime of self-examination and knows the power first hand of telling your story. Therapy sessions with the right fit of client to counselor can be full of fun and emotional exploration. Finding various ways to tell our stories and share deep-seated secrets frees our internal pressure of "doing things right" and we can discover ways of showing up for ourselves that includes regulating our bodies. Xan has lived with body image issues with weight cycling and the shame around wanting to be seen as "normal," whatever "normal" is. Gaining self-confidence and learning to love oneself is a lifelong pursuit and something that shows up in session when working with Xan.
